For the Love of the Theatre...

Recently, I had the privilege of working on a wedding commission for Paul and Alistair, who were married in Cambridgeshire, UK in September.

The couple share a love of music and the theatre, and I was asked to come up with a motif for the day which would encapsulate this.

The music-inspired heart motif was used throughout the stationery suite, from the save-the-dates and wedding invitation, order of service, menus and thank you card.

Most exciting of all was the couple’s decision to name each of the tables at their wedding breakfast after theatres and opera houses they had visited together. So I set about drawing each of these buildings – a very interesting job to study the architectural features of the world’s finest, and most famous, cultural venues!
